PANACO receives the MOST INNOVATIVE STAND AWARD at DRC Mining Week 2019

This was at the 15th edition of the DRC Mining Week Expo Conference held from 19 to 21 June 2019 at the Pullman Hotel in Lubumbashi. Panaco was sponsor of the event by ensuring the continued power supply during the Exhibition.

This year’s priority topics included electrical energy and environment. These are two sectors in which Panaco is considered a leader through its wide range of electrical equipment, solar solutions and its expertise in major electrical infrastructure works.

Organized by Split Intelligent (RSA), DRC Mining Week started on June 19 with a pre-conference that addressed the issue of the DRC’s electricity shortage that is slowing the development of its mining industry. The pre-conference focused on different aspects such as: financing, sustainability, the environment, the structuring of regional agreements and the sale of electricity to neighboring countries

The same day, a Round Table discussed interim energy solutions for industries. Like hybrid solutions that would fit the context in the DRC. The transition to greener energy options. The relevance of battery storage for the industry. And the improvement of the electricity distribution infrastructure in the DRC.

DRC Mining Week has identified six priority recommendations among which is prominently “The reduction of the energy deficit to boost production”.

In this respect, the organizer honored Panaco with the MOST INNOVATIVE STAND AWARD of DRC Mining Week edition 2019.
